Title: Electric monopole transitions in /sup 102/Ru

Electric monopole (E0) transitions between low lying levels in /sup 102/Ru, populated in the decay of /sup 102/Rh, have been investigated by means of conversion-electron and ..gamma..-ray spectroscopy. Values or upper limits for the ratio X(E0/E2) of E0 to E2 reduced transition probabilities have been derived for the transitions from the 0/sub 3//sup +/ and 0/sub 2//sup +/ to the 0/sub 1//sup +/ and 2/sub 1//sup +/ states and for the 2/sub 2//sup +/..-->..2/sub 1//sup +/ transition. The experimental results are discussed in the frame of a schematic interacting boson model.
