Title: Fundamentals of pipe line pigging. Part 2. Pipe line pigs have varied applications in operations

In an operating pipeline, pigging tools can monitor for damage from external sources, separate an incoming gas stream from the air in an empty line to prevent an explosion during filling operations, collect liquids accumulated in the line, and remove scale from the pipe walls.
