A preliminary light-curve analysis for the early-type binary HD 219634
Abstract
Differential B and V light curves are presented for the early-type double-lined binary HD 219634. A model has been fitted to the light curves, and to the light- and radial velocity curves in combination, using the Wilson-Divinney code which has been adapted to run on a microcomputer. The system is found to be detached, the filling factors for the two components being F(1) = O.49 and F(2) =0.86. The mass of the primary component appears to be relatively low for its spectral type but is consistent with the derived radius, according to published relationships among those parameters. 17 refs.
