A method for numerical solution of the dynamic equations of elastic media and structures. [Effects of explosions, shock waves and seismic forces]
The authors attempt to obtain estimates of the action of rockshocks, explosive and seismic waves on drifts, and under- and above ground structures, by solving the problem of nonstationary elastic wave interaction with fixed or moving obstacles. The computation results presented for simple problems, display the possibility of performing a practically exact numerical analysis of nonstationary interaction processes, and are not only of methodological value. The quantities obtained for the pressures on a stiff cylinder and the velocities of cavity displacement are the upper bounds for the corresponding parameters in the problem of plane wave action on a cylindrical shell surrounded by a medium. Such estimates can be useful in practice in analyzing a dynamic stress state and the kinematics of underground structure elements (shaft drifts, tunnel subways, mainline pipes, etc.).
