During the development stage of an electrolytic cell for the electrochemical step of the sulphuric acid hybrid cycle the following results were obtained: a flow through graphite felt anode attained 100 mA/cm2 at 370 mV (rev. H2), 200 mA/cm2 at 390 mV (rev. H2) and 1 A/cm2 at 420 mV (rev. H2). Cell materials, electrodes and separators remained mechanically stable over a run of 300 hours.
