Excitation of quadrupole vibrations in two-nucleon transfer reactions

The spectroscopic factor for two-nucleon transfer into the quadrupole single-phonon state and some properties of the quadrupole vibrations of deformed nuclei are considered. For this the condition that the average number of particles be conserved in the dynamically deformed system is imposed explicitly: it is required that the mean square of the time derivative of the particle number operator in the collective single-phonon state of the system be equal to zero. An auxiliary effective quasiparticle interaction is taken into account in order to satisfy this requirement.
