Title: Heavy ion clustering aspects and molecular resonances. [Excitation, quasibound states, single-particle effects, fragmentation theory, antisymmetric effects]

Abstract

Selected aspects are presented for a theoretical description of molecular resonance phenomena. These are the conditions for the existence of nuclear molecules, calculations of real and imaginary heavy-ion potentials, the excitation mechanism of quasibound molecular resonances and quasimolecular single-particle effects. More-nucleon and cluster transfers between nuclei can be treated in fragmentation theory. Lastly the application of parastatistics to nucleus--nucleus scattering is treated, and yields some new results in connection with the antisymmetrization effects between nuclei. 25 references. (JFP)
