Report on the visit of Dr. Huther from Gelsenberg bergin A. G (in German)
Abstract
This report concerned a comparison of residue-processing operations in the Poelitz and Gelsenberg coal-hydrogenation plants. The centrifuge operations at Poelitz seemed to work better than those at Gelsenberg. Several bits of data about the centrifuge operations at Gelsenberg were given in the report. Both plants had difficulties with the washing of circulating gases because the amounts of gases produced were larger than anticipated in both plants. The carbonization process for centrifuge residues seemed to work better in Gelsenberg than in Poelitz. The report described several parts of the overall processing in which one plant had a better procedure and the other plant had plans to adopt it into their operations.
