The planning framework of Gas Research Institute and compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory Commission guidelines are explained. The report presents the 6-year (1993 to 1998) project-area-level contract obligation and cofunding budgets necessary to carry out the overall R and D program, explains program structural changes, and lists significant increases and decreases in GRI project-area funding compared to the 1993-1997 R and D Plan. It also summarizes each project area in terms of its objectives, project-level budgets, activity duration, milestones, goals, accomplishments, and planned products. Appendices include rosters of member companies, the Board of Directors, and advisory bodies; definitions of program and budget terms; and a list of other publications on the subject of GRI's R and D plan and program.
