Static moments of excited states of magic nuclei

Within the framework of the self-consistent theory of finite Fermi systems we consider the methods of calculation of contributions from low-lying collective states to the nuclear density distribution. Calculations of quadrupole moments and mean square radii are performed for a number of excited states of the nuclei /sup 208/Pb, /sup 40/Ca, and /sup 48/Ca. Some cases of anomalous isotopic shifts are discussed.
