The study of the interaction of ammonia with single-crystal platinum surfaces includes the adsorption/desorption processes, as well as the decomposition reaction using molecular beam scattering, and the reaction mechanisms and kinetics. Also described is a method for measuring system pumping speeds using molecular beams. 27 references. (JFP)
