Self-energizing burner control system for a fuel burner
A self-energizing burner control system for burner means is described having a pilot burner and a main burner. It includes: thermoelectric generator means responsive to a flame from the pilot burner to generate a direct current potential; fuel valve means for controlling fuel to the main burner; and solid state switch means and the fuel valve means connected in series to the direct current potential. It also includes oscillator means including connection means connecting the oscillator means to the direct current potential to energize the oscillator means to produce an alternating current output voltage; voltage step-up means having an input responsive to the oscillator means output voltage, and an output connected to rectifier and capacitor means to provide a direct current power supply; and solid state temperature control means energized from the direct current power supply means. The solid state temperature control means include a temperature sensor and the temperature control means having an output connected to the solid state switch means. The solid state temperature control means controls the solid state switch means to operate the valve means.
