Title: Multiple assembly calculations in GTRAN2

Abstract

GTRAN2 is a new two-dimensional lattice physics code that uses the exact collision probability (ECP) formalism to solve the multigroup integral transport equation in complicated geometries, usually treatable by Monte Carlo methods only. The ECP formalism, although very accurate, requires a relatively large memory if more than a single assembly is to be treated. This paper outlines the initial investigation of an interface-current formalism for performing multiple-assembly calculation within the framework of GTRAN2.
