Physics and chemistry of late time fireball simulations without the geomagnetic field

This report describes the FADCAT computer code which is a version of the CAVEAT code adapted to simulate intermediate altitude fireballs. FADCAT now runs in two dimensions with all the features described herein. The three-dimensional version currently runs without the marker particles and without the Dukowicz rezone ability. We also highlight the results of two hypothetical, but realistic, burst scenarios. These are one megaton detonations: a single burst at 80 km altitude, and a double simultaneous burst at 60 and 80 km altitude. 20 refs.
