Mass splitting of heavy baryon isospin multiplets

We calculate the mass splittings of isospin multiplets of baryons containing one charmed or bottom quark, using a version of the chiral bag model which has proved successful in similar calculations of mass splittings of baryons containing only light quarks. In particular, we obtain the result ..sigma../sub c//sup ++/-..sigma../sub c//sup 0/ = 3.0 MeV, in agreement with a recent measurement which gives 2.5 +- 1.0 MeV.
