The magnetic susceptibility chi of CeT/sub 3/B/sub 2/ and UT/sub 3/B/sub 2/ compounds (T = Co, Ru, and Ir) has been measured as a function of temperature T for 2 K< or =T< or =300 K. For each sample, chi is weakly temperature dependent above approx.100 K, and approaches a finite value as T..-->..0, indicative of a nonmagnetic ground state. The intrinsic susceptibility chi/sub 0/, after correcting for the effect of the impurities at low temperature, ranges from 5.05 x 10/sup -4/ cm/sup 3//mole for CeRu/sub 3/B/sub 2/ to 1.33 x 10/sup -3/ cm/sup 3//mole for UIr/sub 3/B/sub 2/. The ratio S = ..pi../sup 2/k/sup 2//sub B/chi/sub 0//3..mu../sup 2//sub B/..gamma.. (..gamma.. is the electronic specific heat coefficient), a rough gauge of exchange enhancement, ranges from 0.9 for CeIr/sub 3/B/sub 2/ to 4 for CeCo/sub 3/B/sub 2/.
