Drip lateral design using Energy Gradient Line approach

An Energy Gradient Line (EGL) approach was developed for drip lateral line design. This approach provides direct calculation of all emitter flows along the lateral line. Errors from this approach were evaluated and revised approaches were developed. Simple equations were derived for calculating emitter flows which can be used to develop computer-aided design for a drip irrigation lateral line. 8 refs., 3 figs.
