This report details the site selection procedure followed to locate two qualified sites for the installation and monitoring of two commercially available small wind energy conversion systems as part of the U.S. Department of Energy's Field Evaluation Program. The aim of the evaluation program is to gain operating experience with wind systems in actual locations and to identify the siting and operational issues involving wind energy conversion systems. The two sites selected were approved as test sites for the program.
