Comment on the ''no-hair'' theorem for the Abelian-Higgs model

It is shown that part of the proof for the ''no-hair'' theorem for the Abelian-Higgs model given by Adler and Pearson (Phys. Rev. D 18, 2798 (1978)) is not correct. An improved argument which remedies the deficiency is given.
