Design study and economic assessment of multi-unit offshore wind energy conversion systems application. Volume III. System analysis. Final report
Optimum offshore wind energy conversion systems are described. The cost and performance of these systems are developed for a variety of conditions and the tradeoff between cost and energy production is made for the wide range of scenarios considered. The impact of the many design parameters on the major subsystems are briefly reviewed and the interactions which exist between subsystems are discussed. In particular, a section is devoted to dynamic interactions which might exist between the wind turbine generator (WTG) plant and the platform.
