Dynamical generation of fermion mass differences within grand unified theories with a reduced mass-scale range of static symmetry

We examine coupling-constant evolution and the proposed dynamical generation of fermion mass differences within (SU(5))/sup 3/ and (SO(10))/sup 3/ unification symmetry, and we show that sensible fundamental-fermion mass ratios cannot devolve perturbatively within such models. We also demonstrate how weak-angle constraints equilibrate intermediate symmetry-breaking mass scales below the grand unified mass scale within such models.
