Analytical calculation of the fundamental SU(2)-Higgs model in lattice gauge theory

This paper reports on a variational- cumulant expansion method applied to the lattice SU(2) gauge system coupled with Higgs field in the fundamental representation. The phase diagram of the system is calculated to the third order approximation. The result is in good agreement with Monte Carlo simulations.
