Title: Factors influencing the composition and quantity of passenger car refueling emissions. Part 1

Abstract

The paper describes the results of a study to examine the effects of various experimental variables on the quantity and composition of emissions associated with motor vehicle refueling. Problems related to accurate laboratory simulation of vehicle refueling are discussed. Preliminary results include emission rates for total hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene and 81 other hydrocarbon compounds for a single test vehicle.
