The design and construction of an energy-conserving office complex for the Georgia Power Company in Atlanta are described. Some of the energy conserving features are window shading through use of a sloping wall; use of steel stub-girder frame for utility and air passage thereby decreasing building height and excessive vertical space; high-efficiency high-pressure sodium vapor lighting system; a hot and cold water heat storage system, and a solar collector system for space heating and cooling.
