Star Corral oil field, Sublette County, WYoming
The Star Corral oil field is located in T30N, R112W, Sublette County, Wyoming. A tabulation of geologic and production data is presented, including reservoir characteristics. Annual and cumulative production figures are given for the years 1962-1967. Oil is produced from a sandstone member of the Fort Union Formation (Paleocene) at a depth of 3,500 ft. The producing sand has an average thickness of 13.9 ft, and porosity of 15.9%. Since discovery in 1962, the field produced 286,493 bbl of 43.4/sup 0/ gravity oil and 1,016,670 cu ft of solution gas to Jan. 1, 1968. Estimated ultimate primary reserve is 975,000 bbl. Reservoir pressure has dropped from 1,489 lb to 1,000 lb. A structure map, an isopach map, and a correlated electric log cross section are included.
