The arms race in the era of Star Wars. Studies in disarmament and conflicts
Abstract
While some of President Reagan's supporters believe that the Strategic Defence initiative will eventually lead to an end in the superpower arms race, some of the President's critics fear that the attempt to turn Reagan's vision into reality is not only foredoomed to failure but will add a potentially disastrous dimension to the already formidable dangers facing the world. Against this background the International School of Disarmament and Research on Conflicts invited fourteen experts on the arms race to present their views in this book.
