This paper reports that Maxus signed a production sharing agreement covering more than 27 million acres in Ogaden Province. Hunt obtained a permit in the southwest corner of the province where more than 100 million tons of oil shale deposits were discovered. Civil unrest has continued to limit seismic or exploration endeavors.
