Abstract

Oxides of the general formula La{sub 2-2x}Sr{sub 2x}Cu{sub 1-x}{sup II}M{sub x}{sup IV} (M = Ti, Mn, Fe, or Ru), crystallizing in the tetragonal K{sub 2}NiF{sub 4} structure, have been synthesized. For M=Ti, only the x=0.5 member could be prepared, while for M=Mn and Fe, the composition range is 0
