Title: Model-independent extraction of t bar V sub ub /V sub cb t bar from nonleptonic- B -meson-decay data

Abstract

A model-independent extraction of {vert bar}{ital V}{sub {ital ub}}/V{sub cb}{vert bar} from exclusive nonleptonic-{ital B}-meson-decay data is discussed. It is noted that the ratio of the weak decay amplitudes {vert bar}{ital A}{sub {ital w}}({ital B}{sup 0}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup 0}{ital D}{sup 0})/{ital A}{sub {ital w}}({ital B}{sup 0}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup 0}{ital {bar D}} {sup 0}){vert bar} is given by the ratio {vert bar}{ital V}{sub {ital ub}}V{sub cs}{sup *}/V{sub cb}V{sub us}{sup *}{vert bar} without assuming any specific calculation methods of the weak decay amplitudes and it is discussed how to estimate {vert bar}{ital A}{sub {ital w}}({ital B}{sup 0}{r arrow}{ital K}{sup 0}{ital D}{sup 0})/{ital A}{sub {ital w}}({ital B}{sup 0}{r arrow}{ital K0}{ital {bar D}} {sup 0}){vert bar} from the exclusive nonleptonic-{ital B}-decay data under the presence of {ital B}{sup 0}-{ital {bar B}} {sup 0} mixing and final-state interaction.
