p/sub t/ and E/sub t/ multiplicity correlations in p-p, p-. cap alpha. , and. cap alpha. -. cap alpha. interactions at. sqrt. s = 31. 5 and 44 GeV

Measurements of the central multiplicity associated with high-p/sub t/ particles up to 2 GeV/c in p-p, p-..cap alpha.., and ..cap alpha..-..cap alpha.. collisions, and measurements of dsigma/dE/sub t/ are presented. The difference in associated multiplicity, n(p-..cap alpha..)-n(p-p), is independent of p/sub t/ while n(..cap alpha..-..cap alpha..)-n(p-p) rises with p/sub t/, providing new information on the ''anomalous'' p/sub t/ dependence of nuclear inclusive cross sections.
