Precision extrusion of hollow vanes of oxide dispersion strengthened nickel chromium alloys was demonstrated on subscale specimens by using a modification of the filled billet method. The desired <100> microstructure was attained after heat treatment of extruded vanes. Stress rupture life at 2000 F at 11 ksi exceeded 100 hours. A full scale processing sequence based on subscale results is proposed.
