Acceleration gap behavior of flashover-type pulsed ion diodes

The physical processes of the acceleration gap of flash-over-type magnetically insulated pulsed ion diodes were examined. Parameters of the anode plasma were measured with the spectroscopic method. The macroscopic behavior of the gap was observed with laser interferometry. The authors present an investigation of the formation and evolution process of the anode plasma and the behavior of neutral particles in the gap.
