Physical picture of color confinement. [Callan-Symanzik function]
Abstract
It is shown that, if the Callan-Symanzik function, ..beta..(x), has an infrared stable zero, then a consistent picture of confinement emerges. 5 figures, 2 tables.

Short-distance behavior of quantum electrodynamics and the Callan--Symanzik equation for the photon propagator
The short-distance behaviour of the photon propagator is discussed within the context of the corresponding Callan-Symanzik equation.
