Effect of condensation on aerosol behavior in post-HCDA LMFBR containment

The role of condensation is influencing the source term in the cover gas region of LMFBR is studied. A computer program is developed to solve the integro-differential equation governing the aerosol behavior of the cover gas region considering both coagulation and condensation. The computer program is benchmarked by computed results with some analytical results (which are available for some simple coagulation and condensation cases). Our results for some representative cases show that condensation can have a very substantial effect on the particle size distribution in the cover gas region and hence on the source term in the containment aerosol behavior computer programs.
