Demand Management Demonstration Project, Stage 5: Development of industrial load simulation model. Volume III. System data base forecasting module and customer data base forecasting module. Final report
In a typical Ohio utility system, industrial load is the largest, most concentrated component of total demand and consumption. The total impact of moving large parts of system load should be evaluated prior to attempting to implement major load management techniques. Using existing time-of-day metering capability and the software developed during this stage of the project, the Demand Management Model was built to determine the impact of those changes on total system load and costs. This simulation model, was designed specifically for industrial loads, and utilizes 24-hr use patterns and identifies impacts of load changes on an hour-by-hour basis. The System Data Base Forecasting module and the Customer Data Base Forecasting Module and their operation are described in this volume.
