The present paper describes a method that has been used for the isolation and analysis of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in air, water, soil and biological samples. All organic solvents and chemicals were analytical reagent grade and were used without any further purification. Fritted glass thimbles were used with the Soxhlet extractors.
