Title: Alternative concepts for supplying carbon dioxide for enhanced oil recovery projects. Final report

Technical Report ·
DOI:https://doi.org/10.2172/5203103· OSTI ID:5203103

The objectives of a study of alternative concepts for supplying carbon dioxide for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) were to: define the CO/sub 2/ requirements for candidate EOR reservoirs; generate alternative concepts for collecting, transporting, storing and processing CO/sub 2/ from naturally occurring sources; compare the alternatives on the basis of cost effectiveness; reestimate the magnitude of the CO/sub 2/ EOR reserve base on the results of the above findings; and recommend future DOE program activities. These objectives were met, and conclusions derived from the study are given.
