Rotational bands in /sup 20/Ne

Assignments to the K/sup ..pi../ = 0/sub 2//sup +/, 0/sub 4//sup +/, 0/sub 5//sup +/, and 0/sub 1//sup -/ rotational bands of /sup 20/Ne (all characterized by large reduced width for alpha decay to the ground state of /sup 16/O) are critically discussed. Some past assignments seem to be in error. The 0/sub 5//sup +/ band is new. Promising candidates are suggested for gaps in the K/sup ..pi../ = 1/sup -/ and 2/sup -/ bands. Verification of assignments and conjectures needs more work, both experimental and theoretical.
