Abstract

We calculate the two-loop renormalization group equations for the running gaugino masses in general supersymmetry (SUSY) gauge models, improving our previous result. We also study its consequences on the unification of the gaugino masses in the SUSY SU(5) model. The two-loop correction to the one-loop relation [ital m][sub [ital i]]([mu])[proportional to][alpha][sub [ital i]]([mu]) is found to be of the order of a few percent.

We make a numerical study of guage and Yukawa unification in supersymmetric grand unified models and examine the quantitative implications of fermion mass [ital Ansa]$[ital iuml]---[ital tze] at the grand unified scale. Renormalization group study of the standard model and its extensions: The minimal supersymmetric standard model

In this paper we summarize the minimal supersymmetric standard model as well as the renormalization group equations of its parameters. We proceed to examine the feasibility of the model when the breaking of supersymmetry is parametrized by the soft terms suggested by supergravity theories. In such models, the electroweak symmetry is exact at the treee level and is broken spontaneously at one loop order. Nonuniversal gaugino masses and seminatural supersymmetry in view of the Higgs boson discovery

I consider models with non-universal gaugino masses at the gauge coupling unification scale, taking into account the Higgs boson discovery. Viable regions of parameter space are mapped and studied in the case of non-universality following from an F-term in a linear combination of singlet and adjoint representations of SU(5). I consider, in particular, "semi-natural" models that have small \mu, with gaugino masses dominating the supersymmetry breaking terms at high energies. Higgsino-like particles are then much lighter than all other superpartners, and the prospects for discovery at the Large Hadron Collider can be extremely challenging.

In phenomenological studies of low-energy supersymmetry, running gaugino masses are often taken to be equal near the scale of apparent gauge coupling unification. However, many known mechanisms can avoid this universality, even in models with unified gauge interactions. Weak scale measurement constraints on string models

The result of the modular-invariant one-loop string effective coupling constant for a large class of models is used to discuss the weak scale measurement constraints on superstring models. Superstring models with intermediate gauge symmetry breaking are proposed to account for the grand gauge unification scale [ital M][sub GUT]=10[sup 16] GeV, which is deduced from the precision weak scale measurement in the minimal SUSY unification model. A gaugino-condensation-induced Hosotani mechanism is suggested for the intermediate gauge symmetry breaking.
