Intensive grain use in ethanol fermentation and separation: Simultaneous liquid-phase adsorption of water from ethanol and extraction of oil

Intensive or feedstock-based, liquid-phase, adsorptive separation of water from ethyl alcohol is described for corn. In fixed-bed adsorption experiments adequate dehydration capacity is demonstrated and coextraction of up to 80% of the oil occurs before water capacity is reached.
