Effects of curvature of the magnetic field on drift-dissipative instability of a nonuniform plasma

A study is made of the effects of curvature of the magnetic field on the drift-dissipative instability of a nonuniform plasma. It is found that inward curvature of the static magnetic field stabilizes the drift instability produced by the particle collisions.
