In this paper the influence of radiative corrections is examined as regards the relation between the unitarity bound on the standard model Higgs boson mass and the scale of new physics, {Lambda}, where perturbative unitarity is violated. For a fixed {Lambda}, radiative corrections increase the upper bound on the Higgs mass. The shift is about 270 GeV at {Lambda} = 1 TeV and 80(40) GeV and {Lambda} = 2(5) TeV.
