The Wisconsin State Bill 566 relating to precluding employees participating in ride-sharing arrangements from recovery under the Worker's Compensation Act is discussed. The history of the Special Committee on Energy Conservation, one task which was to develop short- and long-term strategies for minimizing the total consumption of petroleum for the transportation of persons and property in Wisconsin, including the feasibility of using a railroad service to transport automobiles traveling for recreational purposes, is covered.
