Balancing projectiles for light gas guns
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:5045466
Projectile imbalance is cited as a possible cause of some gun failures in which the projectile badly damages the bore of the barrel during the launch. A new, simple, accurate balance for locating the center of mass of projectiles is described. The use of the balance to prevent gun barrel damage is discussed.
