A comprehensive toxicology literature review of Air Force Installation Restoration Program (IRP) chemicals is presented. Included is a 65-page introduction on the general principles of environmental transport and degradation modeling as well as guidance for the application of toxicological data to hazard assessment. A review of legislation over the past 50 years and potential impacts on IRP is included. Following the narrative, a review in 55 chapters of 35 chemicals identified within the IRP. Each review covers sources, environmental pathways, physico-chemical data, acute and chronic toxicity results, applicable risk assessment studies, and current U.S. and European regulatory status.
