Title: One-photon annihilation in the Ps[sup [minus]] ion and the angular ([ital e][sup [minus]],[ital e][sup [minus]]) correlation in two-electron ions

Abstract

Various properties of the Ps[sup [minus]] ion in its bound ground ([sup 1][ital S]) state are calculated from a very accurate explicitly correlated wave function. From the expectation value for the triple delta function [l angle][delta][sub 321][r angle]=[vert bar][psi](0,0,0)[vert bar][sup 2] we estimate the one-photon annihilation rate [Gamma][sub [gamma]] in the Ps[sup [minus]] ion and show that [Gamma][sub [gamma]][much lt][Gamma][sub 3[gamma]][much lt][Gamma][sub 2[gamma]]. The statistical angular correlation coefficients are analyzed for the series of two-electron ions ([ital e][sup [minus]][ital e][sup [minus]][ital Z][sup +]) which includes T[sup [minus]], D[sup [minus]], H[sup [minus]], Mu[sup [minus]], and Ps[sup [minus]].
