Neutrino bremsstrahlung from quarks and the cooling of neutron stars

The energy flux from degenerate quark matter due to bremsstrahlung of neutrino pairs is computed. The polarization corrections to the gluon propagator are treated correctly. It is shown that the resultant emissivity is similar to that from pion-condensed neutron matter.
