ANNEALING TWINS AND STACKING FAULTS IN NIOBIUM
Observations were made of stacking faults and annealing twins in niobium. It is shown that the twin plane is (310), the twin axis being <310>. Stacking faults were frequently observed under the same conditions as annealing twins. Detailed study of the faults by electron microscopy and selected area diffraction showed that the faults did not in general lie on {211} planes although some of the faults did have this orientation.
