THE STABILITY OF PuF$sub 3$ IN THE TRIFLUORIDE PRECIPITATION PROCESS
Technical Report
·
OSTI ID:4808447
Plutonium trifluoride was found to be highly resistant to ation, provided the precipitate was kept slurried in the supernatant solution. Oxidation occurred when the trifluoride was permitted to settle in static layers. An ultrasonic cleaning technique was de veloped that was very effective in removing deposi ted plutonium trifluoride from precipitation equipment. (auth)
