From measurements of magnetic dipole transitions between the Zeeman components of the hyperfine structure (hfs) doublets, the g factors of the atoms Rb85, Rb87, and Cs133 were measured in the ground state 2S1/2. The transition frequencies lie at 9470 MHz and the magnetic fields between 1 and 5 kG. The observed absorption lines all have, at a vapor pressure of 0.07 mm Hg, the same line width of 0.45 G. The g j factor of Cs133 is above the theoretical value, whereas the g factors of Rb85 and Rb87 agree well with the theoretical value, although they display a small difference.
